I was drawing this on the couch, and my roomate JT said "Oh, wow, sexy European lady." So thats what she is, i suppose. This was practice in drawing larger faces, i started with reference from a photo i had on my computer, but eventually i changed it to something different.

probably one of your best shaded projects.. very good keep up your improvements.. this is comparably better. I remember when I had something similar happen to me. ^_^ something about the left side looks kinda odd though.. but since I can't point it out in partcular I think thats a pretty darned good thing. ^_~

find a picture of someones face and try to draw it big. it'll do you a lot of good. try not to think of drawing a face, but simply the highlights and shadows that make the face.

Not bad, dude! It really does look like you're making a serious effort in trying to expand your skills, and I think the determination is paying off. The detail here is quite nice; from the hair to the way to scarf folds, it appears that you were able to get a lot of things in check here. There are some parts where the face appears a bit off, but what you did do well here outweights the bad, in my opinion. Keep it up! :)

Very nice work but I would suggest getting a little bolder with you shading on the face as it is a bit on the flat side at the moment.
Remember that the eyes are in sockets etc and that kinda thing - just think of the 3D shape and how the light and shadow will play across it.
